What is Carried Out During a Full Vehicle Service?

A vehicle service is essentially a full inspection to ensure all the efficient, safe and reliable running of your vehicle, to meet road safety standards and the standards set out by the vehicle manufacturer.Depending on the type of service you choose, many parts of the vehicle will be checked, including but not limited to: tyres & wheels, braking system, steering system, suspension, exhaust system, warning lights, exterior & interior lights, seatbelts, battery, engine oil, oil filter, air filter, any leaks, cambelt, radiator, seals, fans, spark plugs, antifreeze, coolant, undertray, fuel lines, clutch & clutch fluid, gearbox & gearbox fluid, driveshaft, windscreen & wipers and more.

How Often Should I Have a Service?

It is generally recommended to get your vehicle serviced every 12 months or when you have driven 10-12,000 miles. This just ensures you keep on top of any wear and tear that may occur during that time and gives you a chance to top up fluids and change oils etc. This will also allow you to stay on top of any potential issues that are likely to affect your vehicle down the line.
