On the day, we shall come and collect your car, take it away to our garage where we shall handle the testing and then return your vehicle back to your location with the MOT certificate and any suggestions if anything may have come up.
What is an MOT?
An MOT is a legal test that your car must go through every year if it is over 3 years of age. The aim is to ensure that your car meets a strict set of safety and conditional checks to ensure you are safe on the road for yourself, other drivers, and our environment.
It will check the vehicle’s roadworthiness and look at things such as tires, lights, seat belts, and such.
Thus can only be administered by a proper MOT garage that has a DVSA approved examiner.
It may be interesting to note that the MOT does not check the mechanical condition of the car and the assessment is based on the condition of your vehicle on the day of the MOT.
What’s Involved with an MOT Test?
As you will be aware, MOTs are a legal requirement and if you are caught driving without one, you could face a fine of up to £1000. So you are aware, the examiner will be inspecting:
